8-8-8 Solid SER Aluminum Service Entrance Cable

APPLICATION:
Aluminum Service Entrance Cable is primarily used as a panel feeder in multiple unit dwellings and for branch circuits. This is a 2 conductor SER plus a bare ground. Maximum operating temperature is not to exceed 90C in wet and dry locations. Voltage rating is 600 volts.

CONDUCTOR:
8000 series aluminum alloy, solid or compact stranded.

CONDUCTOR COLORS:
Black and Red

JACKET COLOR:
Gray

GROUND SIZE:
8 Gauge

ASSEMBLY:
Two insulated conductors and a bare ground conductor cabled together and covered with a reinforced binder tape.

INSULATION:
Type XHHW-2 cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE).

AMP RATING:
75C – 40 Amps
90C – 45 Amps

For dwelling, conductors shall be permitted at listed ampacities to be utilized as 120/240 volt, 3-wire, single-phase service and feeder conductors that serve as the main feeder per NEC article 310.12.
