Morningstar EcoBoost MPPT 20A Solar Charge Controller w/Meter

Advanced Off-Grid Power Management with the EcoBoost 20A MPPT

The Morningstar EcoBoost 20A MPPT brings industry-leading power conversion and reliability to essential off-grid and mobile solar applications. Designed to automatically detect 12V or 24V system configurations, this high-efficiency regulator serves as the central brain of your solar setup, safely managing up to 1,120 watts of solar input. Whether you are outfitting a caravan, camper trailer, marine vessel, or remote cabin, this controller ensures your battery bank achieves a complete and optimal state of charge.

Maximise Solar Harvest with TrakStar Technology

Standard charge controllers often lose valuable solar energy, especially during cloudy conditions or early mornings. The EcoBoost incorporates Morningstars proprietary TrakStar Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) Technology, which continuously determines and adjusts to the true maximum power point of your solar array as sunlight conditions change throughout the day. This dynamic tracking ensures high-efficiency energy harvesting at low, medium, and high power levels, significantly outperforming traditional PWM controllers and reducing the time required to recharge your batteries.

Built-In LCD Meter and Direct USB Connectivity

Monitoring your system should be straightforward. This controller includes a built-in backlit LCD display that provides immediate access to critical operational information, including real-time performance metrics, historical data, and self-diagnostic alerts. For added convenience, the front panel features two dedicated USB charging ports. Offering up to 3 amps of shared charging capacity, these ports allow you to power and charge modern mobile devices directly from the regulator without needing to turn on an external inverter.

Rugged Durability for Harsh Environments

Off-grid electronics are frequently exposed to punishing conditions. Engineered for long-term dependability, the EcoBoost boasts a rugged, maintenance-free design. The internal circuit board is completely conformally coated to resist moisture, dust, and environmental contaminants. Combined with highly corrosion-resistant terminals, this controller is exceptionally well suited for coastal locations, marine applications, and mobile environments where vibration and humidity are common concerns.

Advanced Load and Lighting Control

Beyond efficient battery charging, the EcoBoost is a sophisticated load manager. Connecting your small DC loads directly to the controller enables intelligent power management that protects your battery bank from damaging over-discharge events. Furthermore, the built-in lighting controller functionality allows the unit to use your connected solar array as a sensor to automatically switch connected DC lighting on at dusk and off at dawn, making it perfect for remote security lighting or automated camp setups.
