Rocket Espresso Spluga Elite On Demand Espresso Grinder – Black

Italian-Engineered On-Demand Grinding, Built for the Bar

The Rocket Espresso Spluga lite is a 65mm flat burr on-demand espresso grinder built for cafs and specialty bars that need fast, consistent dosing without sacrificing grind quality. In matte black, it’s the bar-forward choice, a bold and intentional presence behind the counter that pairs with Rocket’s commercial machine lineup and signals the same commitment to craft as the espresso it’s grinding for. Designed in collaboration with V12 Design Studio and inspired by the Valle Spluga mountain pass of the Giro d’Italia, the Spluga lite brings Italian engineering and hands-free workflow to high-volume service.

Rocket Espresso Spluga lite Features

65mm Flat Burrs
High-precision flat burrs for fast, consistent particle size distribution across high-volume service, the foundation of repeatable espresso extraction.

600W Motor with 5-Level Fan Regulation
1680 RPM motor delivers 3.54.0 grams per second output, fast enough for busy service without creating a bottleneck between shots. Five-level fan regulation actively manages motor temperature during sustained high-volume use, an exclusive upgrade over the standard Spluga.

3.5″ HMI Touchscreen
Customisable interface with 3 programmable doses plus continuous, fast-program function, adjustable LED lighting, dose counters (daily, weekly, and total), and password protection for multi-barista workflow management.

Stepless Micrometric Grind Adjustment
Quick-release stepless micrometric dial for precise grind refinements on the fly. Pull the two joints on either side to free the dial without fully removing it: fast burr access for cleaning, precise adjustments without interrupting service.

Hands-Free Portafilter Support
Adjustable metal fork with anti-vibration coating holds the portafilter in place during grinding, freeing the barista to work elsewhere on the bar. IP68-rated waterproof activation button for durability in commercial environments.

500g Hopper with Forced-Suction Air Intake
High-capacity hopper keeps beans flowing through busy service. Forced-suction air intake in the base supports consistent motor performance and thermal management.

Compact Commercial Footprint
194 x 307 x 464mm, 8.9kg. Sized for a commercial bar counter without requiring a dedicated grinder station.

Spluga lite What Makes It Special

The Spluga lite is the natural pairing for any Rocket espresso machine on the bar, designed by the same V12 Design Studio with matching aesthetics in Black or Chrome. The 600W motor and 65mm flat burrs hit 3.54.0 g/sec, fast enough for busy service without sacrificing grind quality. The 5-level fan regulation, exclusive to the lite over the standard Spluga, protects motor performance during sustained high-volume use. The HMI touchscreen’s dose counters, password protection, and customisable interface take friction out of multi-barista workflows. If you’re investing in a Rocket machine, the Spluga lite is the grinder that completes the setup.

Who the Spluga lite Is For

• Cafs and espresso bars pairing Rocket espresso machines and wanting a design-matched grinder.
• Specialty coffee bars needing fast, consistent on-demand grinding for high-volume service.
• Operators upgrading from lower-output grinders who need 65mm flat burr performance without a full commercial footprint.
• Baristas who value touchscreen programmability and hands-free portafilter workflow.

How It Compares to Other Grinders

Spluga lite vs. Mazzer Mini E Type A
Both operate in the prosumer-to-commercial crossover segment. The Spluga lite wins on touchscreen HMI programmability, higher motor output, and design cohesion with Rocket machines, making it the stronger choice for Rocket-paired setups and multi-barista bars.

Spluga lite vs. Eureka Atom Specialty 65E
Comparable 65mm flat burr on-demand grinders at a similar tier. The Spluga lite wins on grind speed at 3.54.0 g/sec, hands-free portafilter support, and 5-level fan regulation for sustained high-volume use.

Spluga lite vs. Rocket Spluga (Standard)
Same platform, meaningfully upgraded. The lite steps up to a 600W motor (vs. 480W on the standard Spluga) for higher throughput, and adds 5-level fan regulation for sustained performance under heavy service demand, the right upgrade for higher-volume environments.

Key Takeaway
The Rocket Espresso Spluga lite is purpose-built to pair with Rocket’s commercial machine lineup, in performance, workflow, and design. For cafs that want a grinder that keeps pace with their machine and looks like it belongs next to it, the Spluga lite is the obvious choice.

Why Espresso Parts Recommends the Spluga lite

At Espresso Parts, we support cafs and technicians every day. We see which grinders hold consistency under pressure, keep up with busy service, and stay reliable over time. The Spluga lite earns our recommendation because it delivers 65mm flat burr precision at commercial speed, with the programmability and build quality to support multi-barista workflows without friction.

We recommend the Spluga lite because it:

• Delivers 3.54.0 g/sec output through a 600W motor and 65mm flat burrs, fast enough for busy service without sacrificing grind consistency.
• Manages motor temperature under sustained high-volume use through 5-level fan regulation, exclusive to the lite.
• Reduces workflow friction with hands-free portafilter support and an IP68-rated activation button built for commercial environments.
• Gives baristas and managers full dosing control through a 3.5″ HMI touchscreen with programmable doses, dose counters, and password protection.
• Pairs visually and functionally with Rocket’s commercial machine lineup, designed by the same V12 Design Studio in matching Black or Chrome.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How fast does it grind?
A: The Spluga lite’s 600W motor delivers 3.54.0 grams per second fast enough to keep up with busy service without creating a bottleneck between shots.

Q: How is the grind adjustment accessed and changed?
A: The Spluga lite uses a quick-release stepless micrometric adjustment dial. Pull the two joints on either side to free the dial without fully removing it giving you fast burr access for cleaning and precise grind refinements on the fly without interrupting service.

Q: What’s the difference between the Spluga lite and the standard Spluga?
A: The lite upgrades to a 600W motor (vs. 480W) for higher throughput and adds 5-level fan regulation for sustained high-volume performance the right choice for busier service environments.

Q: Which Rocket machines does it pair with?
A: The Spluga lite is designed to pair with Rocket’s full commercial lineup, including the RE Doppia, R9 2 Group, and R9 3 Group. Available in Black and Chrome to match your machine finish.

Q: Is it suitable for high-volume caf use?
A: Yes. The 600W motor, 65mm flat burrs, and 5-level fan regulation are all sized for sustained commercial service. It’s built to keep up with busy espresso programs without thermal throttling or consistency loss over a long shift.

About the Brand: Rocket Espresso

Founded in Milan, Rocket Espresso was born from a belief that commercial-grade engineering had a place in the hands of serious baristas, whether behind a caf bar or a home setup. Known for their uncompromising Italian craftsmanship, precision engineering, and a design language that’s distinctly Milan, Rocket builds equipment that ages well and performs harder. The Spluga lite reflects that same standard applied to grinding, a purpose-built partner for Rocket’s commercial machine lineup, designed by V12 Design Studio to match in both form and function.
