Ambrosia ABS Matte Filament

In stock, ready to ship.

In contrast to Ambrosia’s Uber ABS, this line of ABS matte filament has no additional polymer additives that impact printability or material properties. The resin washand picked for its proven track record of being easily printable and creating an excellent surface finish. That, paired with high quality standards has reinvented the Ambrosia ABS.

Feed your Printer the Filament of the Gods.

Derived from 100% Virgin Grade-A Non-Toxic pellets. Manufactured to a tighter than standard tolerance (+/- 0.03mm) you’ll experience consistent extrusion throughout the spool.

ABS Filament (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is one of the most popular 3D printing filaments around, used in a variety of applications including industrial/engineering. It is a filament that handles bridging really well, and offers a great combination of strength and durability making it the first choice for more practical 3D prints (over PETG or PLA) that require tougher longer lasting items that can withstand greater temperatures. ABS can be smoothed using acetone, making for strikingly smooth parts.

Arrives to you in a cardboard box, with filament wound in a cardboard spool, vacuum sealed with a desiccant bag.

Diameter: 1.75mm (+/-0.03mm)
Filament Net Weight: 1KG
Spool Weight: 130g

The glue holding the filament spool together is rated for an environment of 70C (158F). If using a filament dryer or require the filament spool by placed in an environment exceeding this temperature, we recommend 3D printing thisCardboard Spool Ring and Clamp.

Ambrosia Filament’s Recommended Print Settings for our ABS Mattefilament:

Technical Specifications for ourABS MatteFilament (pending review):

Note: The HDT value is based on 1.8MPa (261 psi) standard tests for other filaments were measured at 0.455 (66 psi), roughly 4 times the stress level. Because of this, and without further testing we cannot provide a figure, but expect the HDT to be significantly higher than 88C (one plastics site we found suggests 98C).

Filament can absorb moisture easily. To prevent moisture absorption and contamination, the packing of filament should be kept sealed and in an airtight container with desiccant.
