Century 12V 55Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery

Century 12V 55Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery: Premium AGM Technology for Reliable Off-Grid Power

The Century 12V 55Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery is engineered to deliver dependable energy storage for a wide range of mobile and stationary applications. Built using advanced Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) technology, this battery offers a superior alternative to traditional flooded lead-acid units, providing a completely sealed, maintenance-free solution that eliminates the need for water top-ups and removes the risk of acid spills.

Designed to withstand the rigours of the Australian environment, this deep cycle battery is perfectly suited for use in mobility scooters, golf carts, recreational vehicles, marine vessels, and remote solar setups. Whether you are powering a 12V fridge, running LED lighting at a campsite, or maintaining essential systems on a boat, the Century 12V 55Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery ensures consistent performance and longevity.

Advanced AGM Construction for Deep Cycling

At the core of this battery lies highly porous glass fibre mat separators that absorb and immobilise the electrolyte. This design not only prevents loose acid movementmaking the battery spill-proof and suitable for multi-angle fitment (up to 90 degrees)but also significantly lowers internal resistance. The result is a battery that accepts charge more efficiently and supports higher discharge currents compared to standard deep cycle options.

The robust grid design and high-quality active paste material ensure excellent recovery from deep discharges, allowing for repeated cycling without the rapid degradation seen in general-purpose batteries. This makes it an ideal choice for dual battery systems and auxiliary power where reliability is paramount.

Built Tough for Harsh Conditions

Mobile energy systems, particularly in 4x4s and caravans, are subject to intense vibration and physical stress. The Century 12V 55Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery features a durable A.B.S. container (UL94-HB) and reinforced construction to combat vibration damage, a common cause of battery failure on corrugated roads. Heavy-duty integrated rope handles ensure safe lifting and easier installation into battery boxes or tight compartments.

Low Self-Discharge and Safe Storage

One of the standout benefits of this AGM range is its low self-discharge rate (less than 3% per month at 25C). This characteristic is particularly beneficial for seasonal vehicles like boats or camper trailers that may sit idle for extended periods. With proper charging prior to storage, the battery retains its charge longer than conventional lead-acid equivalents, ensuring you are ready to go when the next adventure calls.

Key Features

• Maintenance-Free Design: Sealed construction eliminates water loss and acid leaks.
• Faster Recharging: Lower internal resistance allows for quicker energy replenishment from solar or DC-DC chargers.
• Vibration Resistance: Heavy-duty internal connections and ABS casing protect against impact and rough terrain.
• Deep Cycle Capability: Optimised for repeated discharge and recharge cycles in off-grid systems.
• Safe Installation: Includes M6 Insert terminals suitable for standard lug connections.

Application and Installation Notes

This battery is versatile enough for a variety of setups, including marine systems, solar energy storage, and recreational vehicles. For optimal lifespan, ensure your charging profile matches the AGM specifications.

Note: To protect the internal components from excessive heat and ensure warranty coverage, this deep cycle battery should not be mounted under the bonnet of a vehicle.

Power Your Adventure

Upgrade your energy system with the Century 12V 55Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery. With its combination of safety, durability, and deep cycle efficiency, it provides the peace of mind required for remote travel and off-grid living.
