CrazyF411 ELRS AIO Toothpick Flight Controller (20A)

Ah, welcome to the world where flight controllers sound more like elite secret agents than tech components. Let’s dive into the fantastical realm of the CrazyF411 ELRS flight controller, a device that screams “I’m not your average circuit board!”

First off, for those looking to whisper sweet nothings to their ESP8285 via the ET and ER pads, you’re in luck. Simply charm your FTDI tool by connecting its “TX” to the “ET” pad and its “RX” to the “ER” pad, and voil, you’re ready to serenade your onboard UART ELRS receiver with the latest firmware tunes. Just remember, a little spark between “+5V” and “E5” pads is necessary for this romantic firmware rendezvous.

Now, let’s talk about the main star of our show, the CrazyF411 ELRS flight controller. This little beast comes packed with an integrated UART 2.4GHz ExpressLRS receiver and a 20A Blheli_s ESC that’s been pre-tweaked with Bluejay firmware for your flying pleasure. It supports the daring 2-4s power range, ensuring your toothpick drone or long-range FPV drone isn’t just flying; it’s soaring with the eagles on steroids. And let’s not forget the SX1280 radio frequency chip that boasts high sensitivity, a high packet rate, and low latency, making this flight controller the dream date for Race/Freestyle pilots.

The onboard ELRS receiver and MCU are best buds, chatting via UART in a language as seamless as Happymodel EP1’s. Firmware updates are a breeze with betaflight pass-through or WIFI, leaving more time for flying and less for fiddling. Pre-loaded with the ELRS V3.0.1 firmware, this flight controller is ready to replace the ELRS X1 in your Crux35, making it the new cool kid on the block.

And for the onboard ESC? It’s not just any ESC; it’s a powerhouse upgraded to EFM8BB21, supporting the 2-4S LiPo/LiPo HV range with 20A of continuous current and peaks that flirt with 25A. It’s like having a bodybuilder ready to lift your drone’s spirits.

On the communication side, the onboard UART ExpressLRS 2.4GHz Receiver is a chatterbox with options ranging from 25Hz to 500Hz, ensuring your drone never misses a beat. And with the ExpressLRS V3.0.1 firmware, it’s as updated as your social media feed.

Binding is like a mystical dance, a three-step process that ends with a green LED light show indicating a successful hookup. And should you wander into the land of LED signals, remember: green means go, double-flash is your cue to bind, a slow flash is a lonely heart, and fast flashing is just the receiver showing off its WiFi mode.

So, there you have it, a flight controller that’s not just part of your drone but the soul of your aerial aspirations. Whether you’re dodging trees or threading through hoops, the CrazyF411 ELRS is your ticket to the big leagues. Just strap in, update that firmware, and let the sky be your playground.

Features

1. Integrated High-Fidelity ExpressLRS Receiver : With its UART communication and the sleek SX1280 RF chip, this receiver is like the high-speed internet of the skies. It delivers low latency, high packet rates, and a sensitivity that could detect a fly’s whisper from across the room. Perfect for pilots who value responsiveness over everything else.
2. Robust 20A Blheli_s ESC with Bluejay Firmware : Imagine strapping a rocket to your drone but with precise control. This ESC can handle up to 20A currents, making it ideal for 2-4S toothpick drones or long-range FPVs that crave power and agility. It’s like giving your drone a pair of sneakers with wings.
3. Compact Powerhouse Design : With its petite dimensions and a mounting pattern tighter than your skinny jeans, this FC is a masterclass in space efficiency. It supports 2-4S Lipo batteries and includes a built-in 5V 1.5A BEC, ensuring your drone stays powered without the bulk.
4. User-Friendly Firmware Update & Binding Procedure : This FC takes the headache out of firmware updates and binding. With options for betaflight pass-through or WIFI for updates and a simple yet effective binding process, it’s as easy as making instant noodles – minimal effort, maximum satisfaction.

How to Bind your receiver

1. Supply power to the flight controller by plug USB, wait until the green LED on the FC is off, immediately turn off the power, and then repeat again the above steps. When the FC is powered on for the third time, the green LED light will start to double-flash, which means that the RX enters the binding mode
2. Please make sure your ExpressLRS tx module firmware is v3.x.x. And go to ExpressLRS.lua from “TOOLS” menu of your radio transmitter. Then hit [Bind] to binding with the onboard ExpressLRS receiver. The green LED should blinking slowly first then turn to solid, that means binding was successfully. If the green led still keep double flash after binding ,please change Model Match tab value from “off” to “on” or from “on” to “off”

Receiver LED status meanings:

Green LED solid means bind successful or RC link established; Green LED double-flash means get into bind mode; Green LED flash slowly means no RC signal input from TX module; Green LED continuous flash fast means ExpressLRS wifi enabled.
