Exotronic 30A Maxi Blade Fuse

Reliable Automotive Circuit Protection with the Exotronic 30A Maxi Blade Fuse

Safeguard your vehicle’s critical electrical systems with the Exotronic 30A Maxi Blade Fuse. Designed to deliver uncompromising safety and performance, this heavy-duty maxi blade fuse is a vital component for protecting high-current circuits in automotive, marine, and off-grid applications. Whether you are wiring a dual battery system, setting up a caravan power distribution board, or upgrading a 4×4 canopy, reliable overcurrent protection is essential to prevent wire damage and potential electrical fires.

Operating effectively in both 12V and 24V DC systems, with a maximum voltage rating of 32VDC, this large blade fuse is built to handle the rigorous demands of modern electrical installations. It offers a secure and stable connection, helping to maintain safe power delivery exactly where it is needed.

Engineered for Extreme Temperatures

The Australian climate demands electrical components that can withstand severe heat and intense vibrations. The housing of the Exotronic 30A Maxi Blade Fuse is constructed from industrial-grade nylon, which provides excellent thermal stability compared to standard plastic alternatives. Capable of operating in ambient temperatures ranging from -32C to 200C, this high-temperature tolerance helps resist melting or deforming under heavy loads or inside a hot engine bay. Furthermore, nylon offers outstanding chemical resistance, protecting the internal element from degradation caused by oils, fuels, and harsh cleaning agents.

Superior Conductivity with Silver-Plated Terminals

Electrical resistance often leads to unwanted heat generation and voltage drop in high-current systems. To combat this, the terminals on this maxi fuse are manufactured from high-quality zinc alloy and finished with premium silver plating. This silver coating significantly enhances conductivity and provides superior corrosion resistance. This is particularly beneficial for marine users and 4×4 enthusiasts, as it supports long-term reliability even in humid, coastal, or salt-mist prone environments.

Fast Overcurrent Response and Diagnostics

When an electrical fault occurs, reaction time is everything. This auto fuse delivers a rapid response to overcurrent events, capable of breaking an impressive 1000A fault current at 32VDC. Depending on the severity of the overload, it can clear a circuit in as little as 0.04 seconds during extreme surges, limiting the risk of damage to connected equipment like inverters, chargers, and sensitive accessories.

To simplify maintenance, the design features integrated test points accessible directly from the top of the fuse. Instead of removing the fuse from the holder to check its status, you can simply use a multimeter probe on these test points. This speeds up fault-finding and gets your electrical system back online faster.
