Description

Seeed Studio reComputer R1025-10 is a fanless industrial IoT gateway and controller powered by the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. This configuration combines a quad-core Cortex-A72 1.5GHz CPU, 4GB RAM, and 32GB eMMC with rich industrial connectivity, making it a practical platform for smart building, industrial edge computing, fleet management, remote control, energy systems, and industrial IoT integration.

The R1025-10 is part of the reComputer R1000 family, so the real value is not raw AI performance alone. It gives you dual Ethernet, 3 isolated RS485 ports, HDMI, M.2 NVMe SSD expansion, PoE support, optional 4G LTE, LoRa, Zigbee, Wi-Fi/BLE, as well as optional TPM 2.0 and SuperCAP UPS. That makes it much better suited to real-world gateways and industrial controllers than a generic Raspberry Pi setup.

If your project centers on BACnet, Modbus, Node-RED, Home Assistant, or edge protocol integration, the R1025-10 is one of the most practical entry points in the reComputer R1000 lineup. It is especially useful when you want reliable industrial interfaces and Raspberry Pi software flexibility in one compact fanless system.

Other Content

The R1000 line is built around protocol-rich edge control, not generic SBC usage. The combination of 3 isolated RS485 ports, dual Ethernet, optional wireless modules, and Raspberry Pi software flexibility makes the R1025-10 especially practical for protocol gateways and controller workloads.

If you prefer no-code or low-code orchestration, the official Node-RED guide is one of the best ways to start. For smarter home and building scenarios, the official Home Assistant guide is also directly relevant.

If you need more memory in the same R1000 family, compare it with reComputer R1035-10. If your project needs extra isolated serial interfaces, reComputer R1125-10 is also worth comparing. For the broader lineup, the reComputer collection page is useful.

FAQ

What is the difference between reComputer R1025-10 and R1035-10?
reComputer R1035-10 is the stronger configuration in the same R1000 family, typically chosen when you want more memory headroom. R1025-10 keeps the same industrial gateway philosophy but stays at 4GB RAM and 32GB eMMC, which is often enough for many gateway, protocol, and controller tasks.

Is R1025-10 suitable for Home Assistant and Node-RED?
Yes. The official Home Assistant guide and Node-RED guide make the R1025-10 a strong fit for automation and visualization projects.

Does R1025-10 support BACnet and Modbus applications?
Yes. The 3 isolated RS485 interfaces and the ecosystem around FUXA and FIN make it well suited to BACnet and Modbus oriented gateway and controller use cases.

Should I choose R1025-10 or R1125-10?
reComputer R1125-10 is better when you need more serial diversity, especially isolated RS232 plus RS485. R1025-10 is the better fit when 3 isolated RS485 is the priority and you want the simpler R1000 communication layout.

Does R1025-10 support wireless expansion and security modules?
Yes. It supports optional 4G LTE, LoRa, Zigbee, Wi-Fi/BLE, TPM 2.0, and SuperCAP UPS modules depending on the deployment requirements.
