Why choose the 4G version: The biggest reason to choose reComputer R1225 (EU868-4G) over the standard version is remote deployment flexibility. When a site has sensors and field devices but no stable wired uplink, the built-in 4G LTE path makes this LoRaWAN gateway much easier to deploy.

Industrial integration: With 3 x isolated RS485, dual Ethernet, SIM slot, LoRaWAN, Wi-Fi, and local storage expansion, this platform works well as both a gateway and a protocol bridge for building automation and industrial systems.

Practical deployment notes: The included LTE antenna and LoRa antenna make the 4G model more field-ready. The included 120 resistors are useful when RS485 termination is needed in the field.
