Specifications

SenseCap A1101 FAQ

What are the detailed specifications of the camera in the SenseCAP A1101?

The camera in the SenseCAP A1101 is a HiMax HM0360 sensor with a lens size of 1/6″, 3P+1R lens construction, F/No 2.45%, full-color 30M pixel, maximum frame rate of 640*480 VGA 60 FPS, optical FOV of 82, and EFL of 1.98mm.

What is the ideal camera setup for image collection with the SenseCAP A1101?

To achieve the best image quality, it is recommended to collect images within a range of 1m to 5m. To ensure optimal results, the camera should be facing the objects directly and have sufficient lighting (avoiding reflected light and overexposure), while also avoiding large movements or vibrations during image collection.

How far can the SenseCAP A1101 detect objects and produce accurate results?

Based on our testing of the people detection model, we have achieved a 70% degree of confidence within a range of 1m to 5m.

Is it possible to change the camera or customize the SenseCAP A1101 sensor?

Yes, and if you have large quantity demands, please contact us for more info.

How long does the battery last in the SenseCAP A1101?

The battery life will depend on the frequency of image collection and data upload. Based on our testing, if the A1101 collects images and uploads data every minute, the battery can last for approximately 9.5 months.

Is the battery rechargeable or does it support solar energy charging?

The battery is not rechargeable. If you have large quantity demands for a customized version, please contact us for more info.

What can I do to improve the results of the SenseCAP A1101 sensor?

The AI results depend on various factors including the quality of the images, the accuracy of the annotation, the way the dataset is generated, the model training process, and the algorithms used. To improve the results of the SenseCAP A1101, it is recommended to use the sensor’s camera to collect images directly instead of using existing images shot by other devices or datasets purchased from third parties. This is particularly important when working with a relatively small dataset. Additionally, ensure that your image collection settings are optimal, including the right exposure and angle towards the objects.

What is the difference between the Grove Vision AI and the SenseCAP A1101 sensor?

The Grove Vision AI Module is provided in the SenseCAP K1100 Sensor Prototype Kit and requires development with a mainboard with an MCU (e.g. Wio-Terminal or Arduino Uno). The Grove Wio-E5 module is required to connect to the mainboard if LoRaWAN transmission is needed. If low power consumption is not a major consideration, it can also connect to the Cloud via WiFi. On the other hand, the SenseCAP A1101 – LoRaWAN Vision AI Sensor is an industrial-level sensor with an IP66 grade industrial-level enclosure and battery, which has a Wio-E5 LoRaWAN module and MCU embedded. The SenseCAP A1101 sensor is very convenient to add to the SenseCAP Mate App and Dashboard and deploy the application once the model training is completed.

Will SenseCAP be developing more AI-related sensors in the future?

Currently, we only have the SenseCAP A1101 Vision AI Sensor
