Simpson 8×6 Column Base w/Screws Quick-Install CBSQ86-SDS2

The CBSQ is designed to be the interface between columns and their foundations. The main function of this column base is to link the column to the concrete footing surface and thereby transmit the structure’s stresses to the foundation. The CBSQ uses Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws (included), which allow for fast installation and reduced reveal, and provide a greater net section area of the column than bolts.

Installation

• Use all specified fasteners; see General Notes.
• Install CBSQ with bottom of standoff flush to top of concrete
• Post bases do not provide adequate resistance to prevent members from rotating about the base and therefore are not recommended for non-top-supported installations (such as fences or unbraced carports).
