TCRT5000L Infrared (IR) Reflective Sensor Module

This sensor combines an infrared LED emitter and a phototransistor receiver in a single leaded package, enabling it to detect reflected infrared light from nearby objects. When an object or surface is within range, the emitted IR light reflects back into the phototransistor, generating a measurable signal for accurate detection.

Technical Overview

The TCRT5000L operates by emitting infrared light at around 950nm wavelength and measuring the reflected signal from nearby surfaces. It performs best at very close distances (typically 0.2mm to 15mm, with optimal performance around 2.5mm), making it ideal for precision reflective sensing tasks.
